What Is The Reason For The Single Season
Many ladies see their friends move into courtships, engagements and into marriages. Some think something is wrong with them and don’t understand what is the reason as to why they’re still waiting and their friends aren’t anymore; people are moving forward while you feel stuck and feeling forgotten. Listen. You have not been forgotten, forsaken nor overlooked by God. There is a plan and purpose for your single season.
1 Corinthians 7:34 (KJV)
34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
During this time you need to get to know more about your Maker and cultivate your relationship with Him. In your singleness you will learn to lean on God more and develop much more in your prayer life. This season of your life is imperative so that you can be cleansed, delivered from carnal minded habits, old soul ties, strongholds broken and healing to take place in your mind and heart. You don’t want to enter into your marriage with a worldly mindset and things that need to be broke off of you; wounds need to closed and you made whole in Him. Of course you will not be nor have to be perfect before marriage; none of us will never be perfect but God wants you to have some fruits of the spirit instilled in you before entering that next chapter in your life.
Galatians 5:22,23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The kind of love that God wants you to have for your husband is unconditional; this is not the kind of love that is of the world and goes beyond the understanding of a person who is of the world and living unholy. A person that is living outside of godly principles understands the way the world loves, which is in a state of lust. When you truly love a person as God loves them, it is for the inside and not so much the outside; lust is based on what a person does sexually and materialistically and it is conditional.
What Is Love? ❤
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 KJV
Charity suffereth long, and it is kind; charity envieth not: charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth:
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth.
God desires for you to love your mate unconditionally and you will be able to do that by loving God and you first; must know you are fearfully and wonderfully made in Him before you enter into a courtship so you don’t relax on only your man of God’s love for complete nourishment; his love should only add to the love you have for yourself. Your husband will compliment you. π True love never fails and is unconditional and your covenant should reflect the relationship between Christ and the church. We are loved unconditionally by God and we are to do our mates the same way.
What else do you learn during your wait?
You learn to submit unto the Lord and in turn it will be easier to submit to your husband.
Patience! Never ever pray for patience because you will learn it in your wait as you hold onto your faith and be in expectation of the fulfillment that God placed inside your heart ❤. The more higher your faith level is, the more you trust God in your wait and your patience grows, as well as your self-control and you change the way you deal with people. You grow and in that growth, things are brought to the surface that need to be purged from you, broken off of you and changes in your character reflects more godliness as you push and press through this season. God reveals your progress and He instills His joy that the world can’t take away, His peace to get through any storms and brings out gentleness and goodness in you, as well as humility and to walk in sexual purity and present your body as a living sacrifice.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that commiteth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are brought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
You will find you are not only happy more for others in their transition but look to serve others. One of the most important things you’re going to do is discover your purpose! Your God given assignment will either be a passion of yours or in your past pain and will be worked into the gifts He has given to you that will come forth and He will give you wisdom and understanding to use them to pursue your purpose.
Your prayer life will also be strengthened. As a wife you will need to know how to pray! Your husband may have to call you at work and need you to pray because of going through warfare on his job or need to intercede for him fe a breakthrough for him to have a better job to take care of the household. There is power in a praying woman! You will be his queen and you need to pray or your king π. This is a stage of preparation before the manifestation of the promise of entering into sacred covenant of marriage. Let God love on you, purify and cleanse you. Don’t be your own hindrance! If you’re still having sex, shut it down! Your husband can’t find you in the bed with another man or while you are in sin! Tell your flesh to shut up and put it under the subjection of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you! Push through the temptations, discouragement, any feelings of jealousy, envy and anything else that is not of God.
Be happy for others and rejoice in their season because you will look up and soon be experiencing your season. π
